Congratulations to the Max Planck Florida Institute team! The Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience in Jupiter, Florida, recently won two awards: the Urban Land Institute SE Florida Vision Award 2013 Finalist and the U.S. Green Building Council South Florida, Outstanding LEED NC Project (Private) 2013 Finalist. Led by ZGF Architects, the project is the first institute of the Max Planck Society outside of Europe. The laboratory and office building is located on six acres at Florida Atlantic University’s John D. MacArthur Campus in Jupiter, Florida. The new 100,000sf biomedical research facility provides a state-of-the-art home for the scientists and research teams. The building accommodates 58,000sf of laboratory space which houses wet and dry bench research, instrumentation labs, computational research, core imaging facilities and microscope suites, information technology services, and offices for researchers and support staff.
