The MGM National Harbor Resort and Casino opened yesterday, which MCLA’s Maureen Moran was able to attend with the A/E team and key shakeholders. The $1.4B project is the biggest development in the DC area delivered this year and includes a 16,200 SF grand ballroom and the 3,000-seat theater, 18k SF of high-end shops, numerous restaurants, 125k SF casino floor, and a 308 Room Hotel. Last week, MGM National Harbor became the first integrated resort to achieve LEED-NC Gold building certification in the Washington, D.C., region.
