MCLA worked with the Architect-of-Record, Eric Colbert & Associates, and Design Architect, Morris Adjmi Architects, on the AP2030 Condominiums at 2030 8th Street NW (also known as Atlantic Plumbing Parcel B) in Washington, D.C. This 73,000 SF, 62-unit condominium is a transformative feature in the neighborhood. Its façade of brick and aluminum materials combines modern and post-industrial design elements. MCLA worked on the resident amenities (a small gym, club room, and landscaped roof terrace), main lobby, condo units, rooftop unit private terraces, and building facades.
The architectural design of this building and its neighboring Atlantic Plumbing Apartments were inspired by the photography of Bernd and Hilla Becher. Both projects were completed in 2016. MCLA is also working on the Atlantic Plumbing Parcel C Residential project, which will be completed in 2018.
