MetLife opened their $125 million technology campus yesterday morning in Cary, North Carolina. The office building, designed by Studios Architecture, strives to “create a diverse, dynamic, and collaborative work environment” through an assortment of open, accessible work spaces and amenities called “MetLife Neighborhoods.” MCLA was responsible for the lighting design in many interior areas of the building, including the fitness center, auditorium, multi-purpose rooms, and circulation desk. All employee desks, communal work spaces, and MetLife Neighborhoods have access to natural lighting.
This project is expected to be awarded LEED Platinum for New Construction (LEED-NC 2009/v3).
